The Macallan Oscuro – The 1824 Collection (First Edition) is one of the most exclusive releases within the limited Macallan 1824 Collection, originally created for the Global Travel Retail market. This exceptional Highland single malt Scotch whisky combines distillates from vintages between 1987 and 1997, making it one of the oldest and darkest expressions in the series. The name “Oscuro,” meaning “dark” in Spanish, reflects both its deep colour and intense maturation. Matured exclusively in premium sherry-seasoned oak casks and bottled at 46.5% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, this whisky delivers remarkable depth and complexity. The nose reveals dried fruits, dark berries, oak and vanilla sweetness, accompanied by marmalade, cocoa and warming spices. On the palate, notes of malt, chocolate, sherry richness, biscuits, cinnamon and pepper unfold beautifully. The finish is long, warming and intense with a subtle trace of smoke.
