The Roagna Barbaresco Gallina 2016 comes from a long-term leased single vineyard with old vines planted on sandy, southwest-facing slopes – the perfect setting for a Barbaresco bursting with aroma and intensity. On the nose, it opens with a vivid mix of raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, and redcurrant, accompanied by hints of stemmy spice and fine licorice. The bouquet is rich, expressive, and inviting. On the palate, the wine mirrors its nose with juicy red fruit, mineral tension, and refined sweetness, leading to an impressively long finish. Gallina 2016 is more intense than Faset, offering a vibrant, spicy, and terroir-driven expression of Barbaresco.
