2021

I have been in love with the world of whisky since 2021, when I started watching films about tasting and discovering flavors. Earlier on, brands such as Glenfiddich and Johnnie Walker came my way, but it was a bottle of Talisker 10 that opened my eyes to the diversity of flavors and aromas. Today I have tried over 800 whiskies and I am head over heels for the character of Islay. I find my flavors in bottles such as Ardbeg and Lagavulin, but I also happily reach for peated whiskies such as GlenDronach and the sweet, fruity character of Speyside.

Right now I am exploring the variety of flavors from independent bottlers, and of course I am always hunting for the rare gems of the whisky world. Whenever the opportunity arises, I try bottles from distilleries known for doing something unique. Privately, I have been a happy husband for several years. I live in the Netherlands and work as a team leader in production. Music has always been very important to me, so I enjoy a good dram accompanied by my favorite artists.
