The Final Chapter of the Portfolio Series

The Dalmore has released The Portfolio Series 2026, the third and final edition of its art collaboration with the V&A Dundee design museum. Launched in 2024, the series began with packaging by muralist Fraser Gray, followed by graphic artist Gabriella Marcella in 2025. For this closing edition, Aberdeen born street artist KMG designed the packaging, drawing on the algae, flowers, and plants that grow along the Cromarty Firth beside the distillery.

The series spans three travel retail exclusive Highland single malts, each finished in a different French red wine cask: No.1 with a Bordeaux wine cask finish, No.2 with a Châteauneuf du Pape finish, and No.3 finished in selected Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon casks.

Three French Red Wine Cask Finishes

The three single malts each received a separate French red wine cask finish. The No.1 draws on Bordeaux wine casks, the No.2 on Châteauneuf du Pape casks, and the No.3 on Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon casks sourced from a Premier Cru Classé estate.

The distillery notes for the No.1 open with lemon drizzle cake, Manuka honey, grape pulp, and Golden Delicious apple on the nose, moving to rich vanilla, citrus, and ripe fruit on the palate, with a finish of poached pear drenched in creamy custard. The No.2 brings pink grapefruit, ginger, vanilla, marmalade, toffee apple, and raisins on the nose, crushed almonds, sweet sultanas, fresh ginger, and soft liquorice on the palate, and a finish of poached pear and cranberries. The No.3 offers dark forest fruits, Seville oranges, liquorice, and cedar wood on the nose, blackcurrant, baked apples, demerara sugar, and warm dark cacao on the palate, and a finish of bergamot, passion fruit, baked brioche, and balanced wood spice.

All three bottlings are presented at 70cl, with their ABVs still to be confirmed. Earlier editions of the series were bottled as non age statement, natural colour, and non chill filtered.

Travel Retail Pricing and Availability

The Portfolio Series 2026 is available from September 2026 in travel retail boutiques worldwide, with a limited number of sets also held at the V&A Dundee museum. In The Dalmore's own boutique, the three bottle set is offered for about €3,160.
