Yamazaki Canned Highball: The 2026 Edition Puts Mizunara at the Centre

The new edition

On 27 October 2026 Suntory announced this year's Suntory Premium Highball Yamazaki. The wording on the can translates roughly as the depth of Mizunara aroma.

The can holds 350 ml at 9% ABV. It goes on sale on 22 December 2026, nationwide in Japan and in limited quantities.

Mizunara at the centre

Suntory uses only whisky distilled at the Yamazaki Distillery. It describes the taste as expressive yet complex, and credits the complexity to long aged whisky from Mizunara casks, made from Japanese oak. Suntory gives no age.

The can shows the distillery's warehouse in the brand's colours, with the Yamazaki characters set large.

One can a year since 2023

The first can appeared in 2023 for the 100th anniversary of Suntory Whisky. Spanish oak led in 2024, and 2025 combined Spanish oak with long aged Mizunara whisky.

Last year's price was also around €4 (750 yen before tax).

The recommended retail price is around €4 (761 yen before tax). The announcement names only a nationwide sale in Japan, and no sale in other countries has been announced.

The can is not listed on Spiritory. Mizunara from Yamazaki is available there in the bottle, such as the Yamazaki 18 Years Old Mizunara 2025 Release or the Yamazaki Mizunara 2022 Edition.
