Westwood Whisky the independent bottler from Montabaur (between Frankfurt and Bonn)—will debut its latest release at the Whisky Fair Bad Homburg on 20–21 September: a North British 16-year-old Single Grain Scotch Whisky, finished in a Ruby Port Wine Octave (No. 5946663).

Distilled 02.03.2009 and bottled 30.07.2025, this limited edition comes in at a robust 54.7% ABV with just 98 numbered bottles—a concise drop tailored to whisky collectors and fair-goers alike.

Design & Presentation. In partnership with Duncan Taylor, the Octaves range arrives in a refined new bottle shape and updated label that elevate shelf presence while keeping the series’ boutique identity intact. In the glass, the whisky shows a striking copper color—an appetizing prelude to its Port-accented profile. With the support of Beth Galloway and Fergus Simpson, all 98 bottles made their way to Westwood Whisky, underscoring the bottler’s hands-on curation.

Maturation & Flavor Profile. Finished in a Ruby Port Wine Octave, this North British 16 yo was selected “on our search for special aromas,” says Westwood Whisky. The profile leans into patisserie richness and fruit brightness. Tasting notes as provided:
