Torabhaig The Distiller'S Series Niall’s First Edition 75 cl represents the second edition in Torabhaig’s Distiller’s Series, dedicated to Niall Culbertson, a key member of the Skye distillery team since 2017. This release pays tribute to Niall’s father, a fisherman, and reflects his fondness for rum and the sea, blending these influences into the whisky’s character.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The whisky is lightly peated and finished in rum casks, capturing maritime notes alongside the subtle influence of peat smoke. Detailed production specifics include the use of Concerto base malt with 5% Brown malt and 5% Dark Crystal special malts. The fermentation is notably long at 90-120 hours with standard temperatures, and the spirit is cut high for peated styles at 66%, yielding phenol content of 12–15 ppm in the spirit and 3.9 ppm in the glass.
