This Lowland single malt stands out for its peated character and robust cask strength, making it a significant release for fans of smoky and sherried whisky. Maturation & Flavor Profile

Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025, this 10-year-old ANNANDALE matured fully in a first fill Oloroso sherry cask. The whisky is non chill-filtered and retains a natural color. At 57.4% ABV and presented at cask strength, it delivers a dense, earthy smoke complemented by the richness of sherry maturation. The influence of Oloroso cask is evident in the layered profile featuring dark chocolate, nuts, and dried fruit, creating a dram with structure, length, and complexity.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Dense fireplace smoke, walnuts, raisins, dark chocolate, leather, charred oak
• Palate: Oily and powerful with espresso, dark chocolate, prunes, figs, roasted nuts; earthy, dry smoke continues
• Finish: Long, dry, slightly astringent with cocoa, black tea, pepper, walnut shell, and a lingering spicy smoke trail
With a few drops of water, notes of orange, fig, and almond appear while the alcohol feels softened but the whisky’s character remains sharp.
