Stitzel-Weller Distillery has released the second expression in its Stitzel Reserve series, presenting Stitzel Weller 31 Years Old 1992 Second Release 75 cl . This 31-year-old bourbon continues the brand’s commitment to showcasing rare, long-aged whiskeys drawn from its historic archives. Distilled in 1992 and matured for over three decades on-site in Louisville, Kentucky, it embodies the depth and intensity that extended maturation in traditional Kentucky conditions can achieve.

Design & Presentation

The release features elegant packaging that reflects its extensive age. The label incorporates woodgrain-inspired gold and charcoal detailing, framed by Art Deco corner flourishes to emphasize its heritage and collectible nature. Each bottle is individually numbered and hand-signed by Nicole Austin, Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development and Capabilities at Diageo.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

Selected from just 13 barrels, this bourbon was matured in new charred American oak barrels until 2024 before being bottled at a formidable 163.2 proof (81.6% ABV) in 2026. The extended aging has endowed the whiskey with remarkable structure and a powerful profile, combining the hallmark depth of oak with concentrated dark fruit.

Nicole Austin highlighted the release’s uniqueness: “What makes this release so special is not just its age, but the fact that it reached 31 years with such integrity. At Stitzel-Weller Distillery, our aging conditions have allowed us to carefully steward barrels like this over time in a way that very few distilleries in Kentucky can.”

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Waxy orchard fruit, pear brandy, cedar, apple skin, burnt sugar, dried orange peel, cola syrup, nostalgic warmth of aged books
• Palate: Powerful and concentrated, revealing dark fruit framed by structured oak tannins
• Finish: Exceptionally long, evolving into notes of pine boughs and baked apple, softening and opening with water to delicate apple blossom florals

Release & Availability

Stitzel Weller 31 Years Old 1992 Second Release 75 cl is limited to 176 bottles, priced at $3,000 per 750ml bottle, and available exclusively through Spiritory from April 30, 2026. Purchases are limited to one bottle per person.

An exclusive tasting experience at the Garden & Gun Club of the distillery is also offered at $350 per person, including an engraved whiskey glass, a branded bag, and a limited-edition Stitzel-Weller pin.
