Spirit of Yorkshire Expands Core Range with Two New Filey Bay Expressions

The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery has introduced two new single estate malt whiskies to its Filey Bay core range, complementing the existing Filey Bay Flagship expression. These new releases continue the distillery’s commitment to its “from field to bottle” ethos, highlighting the diversity and character of their Yorkshire-grown spirit. The additions include Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask and Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask , both bottled at 47.3% ABV.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask matures exclusively in former Moscatel sherry casks, imparting aromas of chocolate-dipped orange slices, roasted nuts, caramel, honey, and apricot. Meanwhile, the Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask benefits from maturation in a combination of shaved, toasted, and re-charred ex-red wine casks, giving it notes of biscuit, marzipan, sweets, and red fruits. Both expressions are produced using a solera-like fractional blending system that balances aged stocks with finishing casks to consistently deliver complexity and balance.

Both Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask and Spirit of Yorkshire Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask are available through Spiritory at a recommended retail price of £65 each. The distillery has not disclosed bottle limits or maturation age for these expressions.
