Gordon & MacPhail’s Spirit of Scotland Series and More: Fresh Whisky Releases

The latest wave of whisky novelties from Kirsch Import introduces diverse offerings from renowned independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail, Signatory Vintage, Murray McDavid, and Turntable in collaboration with Amrut. Highlighting authentic single cask expressions, cask strength delights, and a rare 30-year-old blended Scotch, this selection caters to collectors and whisky enthusiasts seeking depth and character. Among these, Glen Grant 10 Years Old 2015 Spirit Of Scotland Gordon & Macphail Cask Nr.5846 from Gordon & MacPhail’s Spirit of Scotland series stands out for its purity and intensity.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

Gordon & MacPhail’s Spirit of Scotland range bases six Speyside and Highland malts on classic sherry and bourbon casks, aiming at pure distillery character without prestige markup. Notable are three Glen Grant expressions, including the Glen Grant 10 Years Old 2015 Spirit Of Scotland Gordon & Macphail Cask Nr.5846 , matured ten years in a first-fill sherry hogshead with a deep terracotta color and intense aromas. Similarly, Glen Moray 12 yo matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead offers a complex mix of dark berries and pepper spice. The Allt-A-Bhainne 9 yo, matured in refill bourbon barrels, delivers marshmallow, tangerine, and roasted almond notes.

Signatory Vintage’s Ballechin line presents powerful peat-driven single malts finished or matured in distinct cask types: 12-year-old matured partly in Grand Marnier hogshead, and 17-year-olds matured in virgin oak and ruby port hogsheads, offering smoky, fruity, and spicy profiles.

Murray McDavid contributes with a 30-year-old blended Scotch from Coleburn, finished in Oloroso sherry butt, and the Aficionado series showcasing ultra-aged single malts: Mortlach 34 yo with PX sherry octave finish, Bowmore 34 yo refined in Oloroso sherry octaves, and the rare 35-year-old Imperial bourbon barrel expression.

Further bridging continents, Turntable x Amrut Collaboration Drop 03 blends Indian and Scottish whiskies matured in bourbon, Madeira, and red wine casks for a layered, exotic profile.

Pure cask strength, unfiltered, and naturally colored expressions embodying whisky craftsmanship.
