Maturation & Flavor Profile

The whisky matured for seven years in a barrique from Ornellaia, renowned for its prestigious "Super Tuscan" wines based on Cabernet-Sauvignon. This barrel imbues the spirit with structured tannins and dark fruit notes that complement the smoldering peat character. The interaction between the peated Lowland malt and the finely crafted Tuscan wine cask creates a harmonious balance of smoke, spice, and layered complexity.

• Nose: Bold peat smoke that smolders gently, with dark ripe fruit like black cherry and dried plum, hints of wild rose, fine cacao, cedarwood, pipe tobacco, subtle mineral spice, plus a touch of Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary and lavender.
• Palate: Oily and velvety texture, powerful yet controlled. Mature peat offers spicy, almost leathery depth, intertwined with elegant tannins and dark berries—blackberry, cassis, sour cherry—alongside dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and salted almonds.
