Known for high-quality, limited single cask bottlings, the Cosmic Casks batch 06—dubbed "Ring of Embers"—brings forward a distinctive smoky character matured entirely in a 1st Fill Ex-Rioja cask from Spain. Although the label omits the distillery's name, the whisky is confidently attributed to Ledaig from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The whisky’s 10-year full maturation in a 1st Fill Ex-Rioja cask imparts a rare fusion of robust peat smoke and fruity complexity. The Rioja cask, rich with the fiery and aromatic qualities of Tempranillo grapes, delivers spicy depth and a luxurious oily mouthfeel, balancing the whisky’s delicate peat.
