This release stands out by merging a nine-year-old unpeated single malt Dailuaine matured in refill sherry casks with 40-year-old Tawny Port from an ash cask. The innovative ratio of 88% whisky to 12% port wine challenges traditional port maturation pitfalls, opening a new flavor dimension without compromising elegance.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The base whisky, robust and smooth from refill sherry casks, receives a nuanced layer from the long-aged Tawny Port. This method avoids the common drawbacks of port cask aging such as sulfur or overly heavy molasses, while imparting intensely rich aromas and a luxurious mouthfeel. At 51% ABV, this carefully crafted blend achieves complexity well beyond its nine-year age.
