Nikka Frontier 50 cl introduces Nikka Frontier, a Lightly Peated Blended Whisky now available in Germany. Launched originally in Japan in 2024 to commemorate Nikka's 90th anniversary, this expression highlights the pioneering spirit of founder Masataka Taketsuru. With a base of peated single malt from the famous Yoichi distillery, it pays homage to Nikka’s roots while offering an inviting gateway into Japanese whisky.

Design & Presentation

Nikka Frontier is bottled in a straightforward 500-ml bottle, designed to reflect confidence and focus on the spirit itself. The label features a prominent printed "N" from the Nikka logo along with an emblem on the capsule symbolizing the continuation of Taketsuru’s legacy. A relief motif of the traditional Japanese shimenawa rope on the back nods to the founder’s sake brewing heritage and a commitment to quality and safety in production.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

This blended whisky is composed of more than 51% malt whiskies, prominently featuring peated single malt from Yoichi. Bottled at a robust 48% ABV and non-chill filtered, the whisky offers full-bodied malt character enriched by jammy fruit notes and a pleasant smoky finish. Coffey grain whisky components are skillfully blended in-house to provide balance and smoothness. The profile is smoky, velvety, fruity, and designed to be approachable in both flavor and price.
