Maker's Mark Cellar Aged 2025 Debuts in Germany

Introduction & Overview

Maker’s Mark has announced the release of its Cellar Aged 2025 edition, now arriving in the German market from mid-September. This limited edition is a unique blend of 11-, 13-, and 14-year-old bourbons, with 74% 11-year-old, 10% 13-year-old, and 16% 14-year-old content, bottled at a robust 56.45% ABV. Notably, this expression represents the longest-aged whiskey ever produced by Maker’s Mark, offering a refined and complex profile that elevates the bourbon beyond traditional maturation times.

Design & Presentation

While specific packaging details are not disclosed, the Cellar Aged series is known for embodying Maker’s Mark’s heritage with a focus on craftsmanship and quality, underlining its position as a collector-worthy limited edition.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

This bourbon matures in Maker’s Mark’s LEED-certified limestone cellar at consistently cool temperatures, which slows tannin extraction while allowing oxidation to develop complexity without bitterness. Aromas of dark brown sugar, caramelized oak, and baked apple give way to a palate rich with fudge creaminess, roasted almonds, ripe dark cherry, and delicate notes of butterscotch, fresh orange zest, and baking spices.

This cellar-aging approach results in a bourbon that is both deep and surprisingly approachable.

Master Blender’s Statement

Rob Samuels, CEO and seventh-generation whiskey maker, emphasizes Maker’s Mark’s dedication to exceptional flavor, stating: “Cellar Aged 2025 continues this promise—a refined creation that unmistakably remains Maker’s Mark.” Master Distiller Dr. Blake Layfield highlights the cellar’s crucial role: “Our environment plays a key role in slowing maturation to avoid bitter tannins, creating a more complex yet friendly bourbon.”

Release & Availability

Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2025 will be available in Germany from mid-September with a recommended retail price of €165.00.
