The Macallan Home Collection The Estate Appears in US Label Filings
A New Chapter for the Home Collection
Labels for The Macallan Home Collection The Estate have appeared in the database of the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the agency that approves alcohol labels in the United States. The filed labels are shown in black and white.
The registration is the first sign that the Home Collection, which has been on pause after two releases, is set to continue.
What the Label Reveals
The front label names the whisky as a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky in a 700ml bottle, bottled at 45.7% ABV and of natural colour. It is framed by oak leaves around an illustration of a manor house and the words Est. 1824.
The back label highlights ginger, plum and milk chocolate as the key notes. No price, release date or bottle count has been announced.
The Home Collection So Far
The Macallan launched the Home Collection in late summer 2022 as a series of annual bottlings celebrating its estate and distillery buildings. It opened with The Distillery, followed a year later by River Spey. After that, the series paused.
The Estate would be the third edition and the first new Home Collection release since River Spey.
What a TTB Label Means
A label registered with the TTB does not automatically mean the whisky will be released, but it is a strong indication that a launch is planned.
The bottling is already listed on Spiritory as Macallan The Estate The Home Collection.
