Kyrö Sauna Stories No. 3 Marks the Series' First Smoky Release

The third edition of Kyrö's Sauna Stories series is the first smoky bottling in the line. Kyrö Sauna Stories No. 3 is made from 100% Finnish malted wholegrain rye and was launched on 25 September 2026. The whisky matures in ex bourbon casks before a finish in Monbazillac wine casks, from the sweet wine region of southwest France, and is bottled at 50.2% ABV in 700ml bottles.

Inspired by the Finnish Smoke Sauna

Kyrö built the character of No. 3 around the smoke sauna, one of Finland's oldest traditions, and the distillery's own process fits the theme. Selected barrels are warmed in a real Finnish sauna, where the wood absorbs heat and moisture, the pores open and the whisky mellows as flavours that once clashed become harmonious. The nose offers bright tropical fruit, delicately layered peat smoke and warming spice, while the palate brings rye spice, fruity sweetness and billowing smoke, with honey, dried fruit and warm oak in the mix.
