The Best Dram lineup showcases a diverse range of Speyside, Highland, and Lowland expressions, while the Ballechin bottlings highlight rare smoky single malts aged in sweet Italian Moscato Passito casks. Balmenach 12 Years Old 2013 Best Dram Cask Nr.1809 sits among the Best Dram range with a bold Speyside character derived from a first-fill Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey barrel.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The Best Dram whiskies exhibit notable maturation techniques. Several Single Malts spent extended periods in carefully selected casks, such as first-fill bourbon barrels, oloroso and amontillado sherry hogsheads, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks that enhanced complexity without overwhelming the core spirit.
