Maturation & Flavor Profile

This limited edition is not finished but completely matured in Maury casks, a process that captures the fortified wine’s intense character and deep crimson hue. The choice of powerful Maury wine casks is unconventional and challenging, yet it delivers a balanced dram enriched by sweet, fortified wine notes.

Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, highlights: “These powerful fortified wine casks can be challenging to manage, but when you get them right, they can produce something really special. We are known for our full maturation policy for many of our limited editions, and this is another example of that, bringing through all those beautiful Maury flavors in a bold and balanced dram, not to mention the incredible crimson red hue to the whisky.”
