Kilchoman 9 Years Old 2016 Barbaricum Ultima Caledonia Ebudae I inaugurates the new "EBUDAE Collection," an exclusive single cask release from Kilchoman in collaboration with GLOCK SPIRITS and HaWe Bremen. This 9-year-old Islay single malt stands out for its unique maturation, uniting Kilchoman’s distinctive peat smoke with the rich sweetness and warm spice of a Marsala cask finish. The collection’s name, Ebudae, references the ancient term for the Hebrides, highlighting the geographical and historical roots of this whisky.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

Initially matured in a selected bourbon cask, this whisky underwent a 30-month finishing period in Marsala casks. The Marsala finish contributes pronounced spice notes alongside a layered sweetness that complements Kilchoman’s citrus and coastal freshness. Bottled at cask strength of 54.1% ABV, it is uncolored and non-chill filtered, preserving the integrity of its character.
