The Kaikyō Hatozaki Omakase Fifth Edition and Kaikyō Hatozaki Omakase Sixth Edition showcase different facets of the distillery’s craftsmanship, appealing to both enthusiasts and curious newcomers.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The Kaikyō Hatozaki Omakase Fifth Edition is a Blended Malt matured for four years before being aged in Sakura cherry wood casks. This finishing period imparts distinctive aromas and elevates the whisky’s complexity. It is bottled at 46% ABV.

In contrast, the Kaikyō Hatozaki Omakase Sixth Edition combines Japanese whisky and bourbon, aged for three years in Mizunara casks, a rare oak with a signature influence on flavor. This edition is bottled at 42% ABV.
