Isle of Harris Distillery Launches Signature Single Malt

The Isle of Harris Distillery on Scotland’s Hebridean island introduces its new core expression, Isle of Harris Scotch Single Malt . This signature single malt will join The Hearach and The Oloroso as key pillars of the distillery’s whisky portfolio. Created after over a decade of distilling experience, the Isle of Harris Whisky showcases the island’s lightly peated, fresh, and vibrant spirit.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a smooth and complex profile. Light peat smoke intertwines with notes of butterscotch, floral sweetness, and gentle spice to represent the whisky’s distinctive island character. Bottled at 45% ABV, it offers an approachable yet premium single malt experience suitable for quiet sipping or refreshing serves.

Master Blender's Statement

Shona Macleod, Distillery Blender, explains: “The combination of bourbon and Oloroso casks brings warmth, sweetness, and gentle spice, while the light peat adds depth without overpowering the spirit. Made, matured, and married in the Isle of Harris, it’s a whisky designed to be enjoyed with family and friends, perfect in a highball or a simple serve.”

Release & Availability

Isle of Harris Scotch Single Malt is presented in a 700 ml bottle at an RRP of £50. It will be widely available from August across key international markets including Germany and is available through Spiritory. This release represents a major step forward for the distillery’s portfolio, providing a structured range with diverse flavor profiles and price points designed to appeal to a broad audience.
