Hibiki Japanese Harmony Chiso Limited Edition Design 2026 bottle on black lacquer in a Kyoto kimono atelier

New Release: Hibiki Chiso Limited Edition Design 2026

Hibiki has given its Japanese Harmony blend a new look for 2026. The Hibiki Japanese Harmony Chiso Limited Edition Design 2026 was created together with Chiso, one of the oldest kimono houses in Kyoto. The result is a bottle that brings two Japanese crafts together: the art of whisky blending and the art of the kimono.

Chiso, a Kyoto Kimono House Since 1555

Chiso was founded in Kyoto in 1555. For centuries it made garments for temples, aristocrats and the imperial household, and today it is known for its hand-dyed yuzen kimono. The house chose the tachibana, a Japanese citrus flower, as its family crest.

Suntory sees a close link between the two crafts. A kimono and a blended whisky both come from many parts that must fit together in balance, and time and precision shape both.

Design and Presentation

The design wraps around the signature Hibiki bottle with its 24 facets, which stand for the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar. Cherry blossom, tachibana citrus and other seasonal flowers bloom across the glass in red, white, lavender and gold, joined by flowing gold lines. As the light and the angle change, the motifs play against the amber of the whisky behind them.

The tachibana on the bottle is a quiet nod to Chiso itself, since it is the same flower the house has carried as its crest for generations.

The Whisky Inside

A new dress for a familiar blend, where Kyoto textile art meets Japanese whisky.

The collaboration is about the design. The bottle holds Hibiki Japanese Harmony, the range's blend without an age statement, drawn from Suntory's Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.

The nose opens with rose, lychee and mild rosemary. The palate brings sandalwood and candied orange peel, and the finish lingers with white chocolate and a hint of Mizunara oak. It is floral, softly spiced and easy to enjoy.

Part of Hibiki's First Global Campaign

The bottle belongs to a bigger story. In May 2026, the House of Suntory launched The Masterpiece of Japanese Artistry, the first global campaign for Hibiki. It features actress Anna Sawai, Hibiki's first Global Ambassador, who wears a Chiso kimono made with traditional yuzen dyeing. The campaign runs throughout 2026 and includes a kimono installation at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
