The Glenlivet Adds a 12 Year Old Rum Cask Finish to Its Cask Master's Collection
A Rum Cask 12 for the Cask Master's Collection
The Glenlivet has added a 12 Year Old Rum Cask Finish to its Cask Master's Collection, the range made exclusively for travel retail. Part of the Speyside single malt is selectively finished in rum casks, a choice the label sums up as smooth and fruity.
The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle, in the same orange and teal design as the rest of the collection, with a Travel Exclusive gift box.
First at Singapore Changi
The new 12 Year Old is available first at Singapore Changi Airport, where The Glenlivet runs a Changi 1st pop-up in Terminal 1 from 16 October to 25 November 2026.
Travellers can sample curated tastings, follow a personalised flavour journey to find the expression that suits them, and take part in a Grab and Win game for a trip to The Glenlivet Distillery in Scotland. Changi Rewards members receive a complimentary tasting of the 19 Year Old.
Official Tasting Notes
The rum cask finish brings tropical notes to The Glenlivet's fruity house style.
Nose: fresh pineapple and mango, vanilla pod, coconut and subtle floral notes.
Palate: apricot, ripe banana, toffee, red apple, creamy vanilla and orange zest, with a smooth Speyside character.
Finish: smooth, fruity and uplifting, with lingering citrus brightness and soft tropical warmth.
The Cask Master's Collection
The collection launched in October 2025 as the first range from Cask Master Kevin Balmforth, with the 14, 16 and 19 Year Old, and is sold exclusively in travel retail around the world.
Rum casks are not entirely new to the range: at a Dubai Duty Free pop-up in September 2026, The Glenlivet's offer already included a 12 year old Rum Cask regional exclusive for the Middle East and India.
