A New Look for Gran Reserva
Glenfiddich has given its 21 year old Gran Reserva a limited 2026 design for the festive season. On Spiritory it appears as the Glenfiddich 21 Years Old Gran Reserva Limited Design Edition 2026.
The gift box, marked Limited Edition Design, is bright orange and covered in fine gold line drawings of the distillery buildings, trees, hills and fireworks around the Glenfiddich stag. The bottle follows with an orange capsule and a matching orange label in gold lettering.
The Whisky Inside
The liquid is the familiar Glenfiddich 21 Years Old Gran Reserva, a Speyside single malt aged for 21 years and then finished for around four months in casks that once held Caribbean rum, which adds warmth and a sweeter, richer edge.
Glenfiddich has given Gran Reserva limited presentations before, most recently for the Lunar New Year with the Gran Reserva Chinese New Year 2025 and the Gran Reserva Chinese New Year 2024.
Tasting Notes
Glenfiddich describes Gran Reserva with notes of vanilla, sweet toffee and fig. The nose is vanilla sweet and floral, with hints of banana, rich toffee, new leather and oak. The palate is soft at first, then brisk and vibrant, with sweet, smoky and subtle ginger flavours, and the finish is long, dry and spicy.
