The independent bottler whic introduces its Sanctus series with a striking single malt release: GlenAllachie 10 Years Old Sanctus 1 Seraphim Whic . This 10-year-old GlenAllachie from Speyside is uniquely matured in Sicilian Marsala barrique casks, offering a rare cross-cultural expression that blends Speyside elegance with Mediterranean sweetness.

The packaging reflects the celestial inspiration behind the Sanctus range, featuring a label adorned with a painted seraph figure highlighted by gold accents. The seraph’s three pairs of wings and central eye evoke biblical imagery, establishing a visual link to the series' thematic concept.

This whisky reveals a full decade of maturation exclusively in Marsala wine casks, imparting a fruity-sweet depth rarely seen in Speyside single malts. It is bottled at a robust 51.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added coloring, preserving the vivid aromas derived from the dessert wine cask.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Freshly baked peach pie, raisins, dried figs, dry wine notes, acacia honey, vanilla cream, with hints of toffee, wine gum, and raspberry sherbet
• Palate: Fine spices like allspice and clove lead into sweeter, creamier notes of syrup, honey-glazed dates, dark berries, nuts, and caramel
• Finish: Velvety, featuring marinated raisins, prunes, milk chocolate, caramelized almonds, and a touch of finely bitter cocoa
