Glen Ord 13 Years Old Legends Of Scotland The Forgotten General Whic is the latest release in the "Legends of Scotland" series, a collaboration between the independent bottler Signatory Vintage and Spiritory. This 13-year-old Glen Ord single malt honours Andrew de Moray, a key but overlooked figure in Scotland’s fight for independence. Bottled at a drinking strength of 46% vol, this whisky brings a Highland classic into focus with a limited run of 542 bottles.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

This Glen Ord matured exclusively in two first-fill bourbon barrels, imparting a warm amber hue and flavors grounded in sweetness and fruit. The cask influence delivers honey, creamy caramel, and delicate vanilla, while the distillery’s character adds ripe apples, pears, quinces, and citrus notes like lemon and lime. On the palate, bright stone fruits meet malty spice and a slightly waxy texture, enriched by crème brûlée, marzipan, and shortbread. Spicy cinnamon and pink pepper combine with fine oak aromas to enhance complexity. The long finish reveals roasted malt, milk coffee, dark chocolate, and robust honey, balanced by apple compote, nectarine, and a gentle dry heather note.
