Maturation & Flavor Profile

This Burnside whisky spent its entire maturation in a single ex-bourbon hogshead, allowing the spirit to develop slowly and fully without interference from finishing casks. Bottled at natural cask strength of 47.8% ABV, it offers a waxy, honey-sweet profile with fruity depth typical of a traditional Dufftown character. The choice of cask and prolonged maturation delivers a balance of density, elegance, and subtle grandeur.
