The Copeland Distillery, a micro-distillery based in Donaghadee on Ireland’s northeast coast, introduces its inaugural single malt of the year 2025: Copeland 5 Years Old 26.1 . This release represents the fresh wave of self-distilled whiskeys from the young distillery, following a positive reception of their initial batch, Copeland Single Malt 25.3.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

This expression is a double-distilled single malt matured exclusively in ex-Pinot Noir and ex-Shiraz barriques, barrels that previously held Copeland’s own rum. This maturation imparts a bold cask strength profile, bottled at a potent 57.8% ABV. The batch is strictly limited to 860 bottles, emphasizing the distillery’s dedication to small-scale craftsmanship and quality.

A robust fusion of wine cask complexity and powerful spirit character defines this release.
