Benromach Distillery in Speyside introduces the latest in its Contrasts series, the Benromach 12 Years Old 2014 Contrasts Wine Finish Limited Edition . This limited-edition 12-year-old single malt showcases the balance between Benromach’s signature lightly peated profile and the influence of French Côte Rôtie red wine casks, offering whisky enthusiasts a fresh perspective on maturation and flavor interplay.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

Initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks, the whisky was finished for 26 months in Côte Rôtie wine casks. This finishing period imparts warm spice and summer berry aromas with sweet vanilla and chocolate notes. The palate reveals dark forest fruits alongside cracked black pepper and orange zest, concluding with a medium-bodied finish that carries lingering summer fruits and subtle smoke.
