Released on the 712th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, this 13-year-old Ballechin is the series’ first smoky expression, inaugurating the new Fields of Fate profile. Unlike earlier chapters focused on individuals, this edition celebrates a historic event, bringing peat and sherry influence into the spotlight.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

This single malt matured in a single 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, marrying Ballechin's robust Highland peat character with the rich, dark fruit and spice from the sherry cask. At 46% ABV and bottled without chill filtration or added color, the whisky offers a complex interplay of smoke and sweetness. Deep mahogany in color with reddish-copper highlights, it delivers tropical fruits like pineapple and mango alongside raisin, plum, and nutty nougat cream. Tobacco, leather, and barbecue notes meld with warming spices—cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves—culminating in a long, spicy finish with ash, pepper, and coffee nuances.
