Maturation & Flavor Profile

This 13-year-old whisky spent its first 6 years aging in Bourbon barrels before a 7-year finish in Australian Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The unusual cask combination imparts a unique profile, balancing fresh orchard and red berry fruits with a refined oak spice influence from the wine casks.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Fresh citrus, baked apple, and vanilla cream with ripe red berries, blackcurrant, and sweet oak spice from the Australian Cabernet Sauvignon cask.
• Palate: Soft, rounded orchard fruits, honeyed malt, creamy vanilla, layered with dark cherry, cassis, gentle cinnamon, and delicate oak tannins.
• Finish: Long and elegant, lingering red fruits, sweet spice, and candied orange peel fading into a warming finish.
