The young Islay distillery Ardnahoe, established in 2018, presents a remarkable debut at the Whisky Ship Luzern from March 26 to 28, 2026. Highlighting its early potential, Ardnahoe introduces two special bottlings created exclusively for the Swiss market. These are the Ardnahoe 6 Years Old 2019 Exclusively For Switzerland and Ardnahoe 7 Years Old 2019 Celebrating 20 Years Of Friendship Cask Nr.572 , both bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered, and without added colour, showcasing Ardnahoe's dedication to traditional craftsmanship.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The Ardnahoe 6 Years Old 2019 Exclusively For Switzerland has matured for six years in Oloroso Quarter Casks. The use of these small sherry casks intensifies the whisky's character despite its youth, delivering dark fruit notes, spicy accents, and the distinctive Islay peat smoke in a powerful combination. Limited to 683 bottles, it represents a bold and complex expression from Ardnahoe's formative years.

In contrast, the Ardnahoe 7 Years Old 2019 Celebrating 20 Years Of Friendship Cask Nr.572 is matured for seven years in a single Bourbon barrel (#572), reflecting Ardnahoe’s classic house style. This whisky embodies vanilla sweetness, maltiness, and maritime influences that define its character. With only 216 bottles available, it is Ardnahoe’s first-ever 7-year-old single malt release globally, marking a significant milestone.

Both exclusive bottlings will be available from March 25, 2026, coinciding with the Whisky Ship event in Lucerne. The Ardnahoe 6 Years Old 2019 Exclusively For Switzerland is limited to 683 bottles, while the Ardnahoe 7 Years Old 2019 Celebrating 20 Years Of Friendship Cask Nr.572 is a highly limited edition with only 216 bottles.
