Ardbeg Day 2026: Committee Single Cask Nr.506 and House Reserve Volume 2 Debut

Ardbeg marks Ardbeg Day 2026 with two new bottles, both available on Spiritory: Ardbeg 14 Years Old 2011 Committee Single Cask Nr.506 and Ardbeg 21 Years Old House Reserve Volume 2 . The first is a Committee single cask hand selected at the distillery. The second commemorates the reopening of the Ardbeg House Hotel in Port Ellen, Islay.

Committee Single Cask Nr.506

The cask was selected by Bryony McNiven, the first female Distillery Manager of the modern Ardbeg era. The 2011 distillation year carries personal weight: that was the year McNiven appeared at an Ardbeg Day tasting wearing a lab coat labeled "Distillery Manager in waiting." Fourteen years later, she chose this cask for the Committee.

The whisky was matured in a first fill Marsala barrique. Only 414 bottles were filled at 55.3% ABV in 700ml format.

House Reserve Volume 2

The House Reserve series centres on the Ardbeg House Hotel in Port Ellen on the south coast of Islay. Volume 2 was bottled on 2 February 2026 to mark the hotel's reopening, and the brand describes it as exceptionally exclusive and highly limited. It carries a 21 year age statement and bottles at 52.2% ABV in 700ml format.

Committee Single Cask Nr.506 Tasting Notes

• Nose: Bonfire smoke woven with dark fruits, red berries, spicy Marsala notes and a maritime lift.
• Palate: Smoked malt, caramelized fruits, dark chocolate, warming spices and the sweet richness of fortified wine.
• Finish: Long and intense. Sweet smoke, spicy oak and salty Islay minerality.

House Reserve Volume 2 Tasting Notes

• Nose: Peat smoke, bonfire ash and maritime salinity, with mature fruit and dark chocolate underneath.
• Palate: Smoked malt, vanilla, leather, spice and a touch of citrus.
• Finish: Sweet smoke balanced by warming spice and elegant oak structure.
