Introduction & Overview. The Glendronach expands its ultra-premium range with the The Glendronach 30 Year Old 2025 Edition and the The Glendronach 40 Year Old 2025 Edition, both limited edition releases now available (from 9 September 2025) in selected markets worldwide. The 30-year-old is bottled at 45.8% ABV (RRP £1,000), while the 40-year-old is presented at a natural cask strength of 42.1% ABV (RRP £5,000) and limited to 300 bottles globally. These releases underline the distillery’s dedication to sherry cask maturation and speak directly to collectors, enthusiasts, and professionals seeking authoritative tasting notes and scarcity.

Design & Presentation | Maturation & Flavor Profile. The 30 Year Old 2025 Edition marries Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, and—for the first time at this age statement—Amontillado sherry casks. The Amontillado influence adds refined notes of roasted hazelnuts and delicate crème caramel, complementing The Glendronach’s hallmark dark cherry, chocolate, and spiced fruits from PX and Oloroso. It arrives in a stained walnut-veneer case with 30-facet engraving. The 40 Year Old 2025 Edition is crafted from selected casks distilled in 1978, 1983, and 1984, married and matured over four decades in Spanish oak Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Presentation is suitably elevated: a dark-stained rosewood gift box with brass handles and a golden plinth.

Master Blender’s Statement. Rachel Barrie on the 30-year-old: “With the 30-year-old, we have composed a symphony from our most historic Sherry cask styles. Three decades of maturation have resulted in a sublime and charming single malt, with generous layers of rich and complex character. It is the ultimate expression of our dedication to the art of Sherry cask maturation.” On the 40-year-old: “I am honoured to share this exceptionally distinctive single malt. At 40 years old, it represents four decades of Sherry cask refinement, polished by time to become the ultimate expression of The Glendronach. It is a privilege to be the custodian of such remarkable casks.”
