This 26-year-old single malt distinctively features a finish in former Colheita Port casks sourced from a renowned winery in Portugal’s Douro Valley. Master Blender Sandy Hyslop has crafted a whisky that balances sweet dried fruit notes with nutty finesse, delivering a character rich in sweet berry and spicy aromas. It marks Royal Salute’s first use of Port cask finishing across their entire portfolio, underscoring the brand’s dedication to innovation and heritage.
Design & Presentation
The whisky is presented in a striking cobalt blue flagon, inspired by Portugal’s famous azulejo tile facades. The design captures the rippling hues of the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean, making this bottle a vibrant, collectible piece steeped in regal and cultural symbolism.
Maturation & Flavor Profile
This expression is a bespoke blend fully matured and finished in exceptional ex-Colheita Port casks. The chosen casks impart intricate layers of dried fruit sweetness and nutty complexity, framed by spicy and berry-forward notes. These elements come together to provide a luxurious and indulgent sensory experience.
