Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky: A Historic Release

Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky: A Historic Release
Aged Series Expands with a 14-Year-Old Expression
For the first time in over a century, Jack Daniel’s has unveiled a 14-year-old Tennessee whisky, marking a historic milestone for the distillery. As part of the Jack Daniel’s Aged Series, the release is accompanied by Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Batch 3 and Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Batch 4. The 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky, bottled at a bold 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV), offers a deeper and richer flavor profile that showcases the impact of extended maturation.
Elegant Presentation with a Legacy Touch
Presented in 700mL bottles, the new Jack Daniel’s Aged Series maintains the brand’s classic aesthetic while incorporating design elements that highlight the significance of these long-aged expressions. The labeling reflects the craftsmanship and tradition behind these releases, emphasizing the age statements prominently—a rarity for Jack Daniel’s over the past century.
Maturation and Flavor Profile: Extra Aging Brings Depth
Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky begins with the traditional mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye and undergoes the signature Lincoln County Process—mellowing through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in charred oak barrels. The additional years in the barrel enhance its depth, delivering sweet bakery spices, layered oak, and a complex interplay of cinnamon, creamy butterscotch, and rich leather that extends into a finish of aged oak and pipe tobacco.
A Statement from Master Distiller Chris Fletcher
“When we released our first Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky a few years ago, we set out to honor the legacy of Jack Daniel himself and replicate the lineup of age-stated whiskies available during his time. This year’s releases build upon that as we re-introduce our new 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky, the oldest age-statement for Jack Daniel’s in the last 100 years or more. These whiskies really showcase how a little extra time in our barrels is capable of producing something so special.”
Limited Availability and Pricing
The Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky will be available in limited quantities across the United States this month, retailing at $149.99. The 12-Year-Old Batch 3 and 10-Year-Old Batch 4 will be priced at $94.99 and $84.99, respectively. While the 10-Year-Old edition is set to launch in select international markets this summer, details on specific regions remain unconfirmed.
A rare and historic release, Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whisky is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
