Wuyd 3 Years Old Batch 4 Limited Edition 50cl is the first single malt from the WUYD distillery in Lenggries to mature in a sherry cask, a 3 Years Old whisky at 46% ABV that was aged in an ex sherry cask (American Oak) with a 10 year prior seasoning of Oloroso sherry. On the nose, dark chocolate mousse and spicy malt meet sherry notes of raisins, dried plums, and sweet figs, while the palate is spicy, fruity, and slightly sweet with chocolate, dried fruit, and oak, leading to a finish of light sweetness and a pleasant tingle that lingers before long, powerful dark chocolate notes. Limited to 577 numbered bottles from batch 4, this is a small batch, uncut by chill filtration or color, that delivers a sherry driven, chocolate led dram.
