Torabhaig The Distillers' Series Niall's First Edition is a coastal single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye, part matured in ex rum casks and bottled at 59.3% ABV. The nose is led by tropical fruit, cooked pineapple, guava and vanilla with a hint of sweet char; the palate brings juicy orange, malty biscuit, sea salt and brine over a lightly oily texture; the finish is long and warming with complex spice and ashy peat. Composed by Niall Culbertson to capture the maritime character of his childhood journeys to the bay by boat, it is made with Concerto base malt, 5% brown malt and 5% dark crystal at 12 to 15 ppm spirit phenols, and is limited to 5,250 bottles globally, non chill filtered with no colour added. A tropically fruited dram whose rum cask character carries through a long, softly smoked finish.
