Torabhaig 2017 The Inaugural Release The Legacy Series Chapter 1

Description

Torabhaig 2017 The Inaugural Release The Legacy Series Chapter 1 is the opening chapter of The Legacy Series and the first expression of the signature style of the Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye, drawn from a select batch of 100 barrels distilled and casked in early 2017. This heavily peated single malt was made from Concerto and Anchor malted barley, with 55 to 60 ppm of phenols in the grain, matured in first fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and without added colouring. Gentle peat smoke meets citrus zest, sliced apples and pears on the nose; the palate brings charred wood, sweet malt, black pepper and cinnamon with creamy vanilla, before a long, warming finish of lingering smoke and briny sea air.
