Tomatin 2008 Cù Bòcan Creation #9 is a limited edition lightly peated single malt from the Highlands distillery Tomatin, the brand's oldest Creation to date, matured for over 17 years in American Virgin Oak, refill hogsheads and Manzanilla Sherry casks, bottled at 46% ABV, natural in colour and non chill filtered. The nose opens with vanilla, honey and caramel sweetness balanced by salted popcorn and toasted almonds, the palate is sweet with caramelised orchard fruit, baked apple and ripe pear, and the finish is long and warming with sweet oak, cinnamon spice, toasted nuts and a delicate maritime salinity. Limited to 3,800 bottles worldwide. A sweet and salty, delicately smoky dram where cask influence leads the way.
