Smögen 10 Years Old – Wu Dram Clan Cask Strength Collection Cask #1 is a bold single cask release from the newly introduced Cask Strength Collection by Wu Dram Clan. This series focuses on pure, unfiltered whiskies bottled at natural cask strength – honest, direct and uncompromising. Distilled in March 2014 at Smögen Whisky AB in Sweden and matured for ten years in an ex-bourbon barrel from Four Roses, it was bottled in January 2025 at a powerful 59.1% ABV. With only 198 bottles produced, this is an extremely limited release, naturally non-chill filtered and with no added colour. The whisky combines vibrant tropical fruit with a distinctly Nordic coastal character: notes of mango, papaya and apricot are layered with intense maritime smoke. On the palate it is powerful and complex, balancing sweet fruit, spicy oak and smoky depth. The finish is long, intense and defined by coastal and peated nuances. As the inaugural release of the Cask Strength Collection, this Smögen 10 Year Old represents modern Scandinavian whisky at its most expressive and is highly sought after by collectors.
