Description
Amber in the glass. Elegant, focused, and clear in its expression. Sadashi means “ambition” in Japanese – and this whisky pursues its goal with depth and precision. 43% ABV, aged in rare Mizunara oak casks. A blend of malt and grain – complex and harmonious. Produced in Japan, bottled by Destilerías Campeny in Barcelona.
Mizunara is one of the rarest and most prized oaks in the world. Its high moisture, irregular grain and long drying time make it a challenge to work with – but it rewards with exceptional aromas: sandalwood, Kara incense, coconut, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon. Low in tannins, it delivers a silky texture without heavy wood notes.
On the nose, Sadashi shows Japanese restraint: delicate, spicy, floral. On the palate: coconut, sweet pear, vanilla, and white pepper. The finish is gentle, dry, with barely any alcohol burn – and subtle hints of smoke and green tea.
Best served neat – or as a Japanese-style highball with soda and ice. In winter, try it warm; in summer, chilled. A whisky that speaks quietly – and says everything.
Since 2024, strict standards define Japanese whisky: it must be fermented, distilled, aged, and bottled in Japan. Sadashi meets every detail. A whisky for purists – and for collectors who love Mizunara.
