Redbreast 22 Years Old 2004 Oloroso Sherry Single Cask Nr.190915 is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Distillery, filled into refill bourbon barrels in March 2004 and transferred in 2010 to a first fill Oloroso sherry butt, where it matured for the rest of its 22 years. Hand selected by Redbreast Master Blender Dave McCabe, the cask from Warehouse M18A shows honey drizzled dark fruits, chocolate shavings, treacle, sultanas and toasted almonds on the nose. Pot still spice gives way to sugar glazed cherries, dried fruit, dark chocolate and black tea, before a long finish in which the oak and fruit fade and the spice lingers.
