Mortlach 59 Years Old 1965 Dram Takers Collection Gordon & MacPhail is a single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1965, matured for 59 years in a refill American hogshead and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2024 at 44.1% ABV. Bergamot orange and tropical fruit with mango, pineapple and banana lead on the nose, with heather honey and toasted almonds developing behind them, and the palate brings soft tobacco, tart green apple and quince, then vanilla fudge, fresh lime and charred oak, before a medium bodied finish with citrus and herbal undertones. It belongs to The Dram Takers, the Gordon & MacPhail range whose label of two figures raising a glass is adapted from the Book of Kells.
