Mars Tsunuki 8 Years Old 2017 Yakushima Aging Peated Sherry Hogshead Cask Nr.2095 is a single cask Japanese whisky, distilled in 2017 at the Mars Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima from malt peated to 50 ppm and matured in a sherry hogshead in the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar, on the UNESCO World Heritage island of Yakushima. Peat, soot and dark chocolate lead the nose; the palate joins iodine, charred wood and bacon with apricot, orange and mango, before a long finish wrapped in cigar smoke. Chosen for the Collection Anthology, it is bottled non chill filtered at 57.7% ABV in an edition of 160 bottles.
