Description

Maoi 3 Years Old Metamorphosis Bishop 50cl is one of the first two three year old single malts from Maoi Distillery in Naganuma, Hokkaido, made from 100% non peated malt from the United Kingdom and matured for three years and ten months in 200 litre American standard bourbon barrels, with part of the spirit moved into smaller bourbon quarter casks. The casks rested in three settings at the distillery, a former underground winery shelter, the cellar and a sunlit terrace, adding layers to the classic malt character and an expansive finish drawn from the bourbon wood. Bottled non chill filtered at 50% ABV, it is limited to 1,300 bottles of 50cl.
