Lochlea 5 Years Old 2018

Description

Lochlea 5 Years Old 2018 is the first age statement whisky from Lochlea Distillery in Ayrshire and brings together five casks hand picked by Production Director John Campbell, including two from the original filling of 2018: two first fill bourbon casks, one first fill oloroso sherry cask, one double matured oloroso sherry cask and one double matured PX sherry cask. Brown sugar and baked pineapple open the nose; citrus zest and candied pear crumble follow on the palate, and on the finish orange peel melts into caramel with hints of black pepper, rose petals and leather. Bottled at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and with natural colour, it was limited to 2,000 bottles worldwide.
