Description
A blend of aged rums from Guadeloupe, Guatemala, and Venezuela. Assembled and bottled in Provence. Its base: old family recipes from the notebook of Paul Archambeaud, last director of the Grande Distillerie de Bordeaux. Jockey-Club Rum appears golden-yellow with amber reflections and a faint green hue. On the nose: toasted oak, fresh vanilla, a trace of nutmeg. Beneath that: damp earth, pale leather and a hint of molasses. The entry is soft, the body creamy. Quince marmalade leads the palate, followed by a touch of peat smoke. Then come mandarin zest, toasted grain and dried tobacco leaves. The finish is dry, medium in length, with warm spices and a bittersweet echo. Bottled at 43% ABV for structure without heat. A rum with history, craftsmanship, and depth – wax-sealed and presented in an elegant, understated bottle. For connoisseurs. For collectors. For quiet moments after the meal.
